Priyanshu Painyuli is an Indian actor who has gained significant recognition for his versatile performances across Bollywood films and streaming web series, known for playing distinct and often complex roles. Born on August 29, 1988, in New Delhi into an Army family, he grew up in a disciplined environment and pursued an education in Computer Science at the SAE Institute in Bangalore before shifting his focus to his passion for the performing arts, starting with theatre in Bangalore. He transitioned to Mumbai, where he worked as a model and assistant director before making his acting debut. His career-defining roles began with the titular character in the superhero film Bhavesh Joshi Superhero (2018), which brought him critical notice. However, he achieved widespread popularity and a dedicated following for his portrayal of Robin (Radhesyam), the quirky and memorable character known for the catchphrase "Ye Bhi Theek Hai," in the second and third seasons of the Amazon Prime Video crime-thriller series Mirzapur. Painyuli also made a notable Hollywood debut, playing the main antagonist, a Bangladeshi crime lord, in the Netflix action film Extraction (2020), starring Chris Hemsworth.
