Roman Mitichyan, born on September 4, 1978, is an Armenian-American professional mixed martial artist, actor, and stuntman. Before transitioning to acting, Mitichyan achieved success in combat sports, becoming a champion in Armenia in freestyle wrestling and Sambo-Judo. After moving to the United States in 1997, he continued his training and won the USJI National Championship in 2006. He also holds a bronze medal in the Sambo World Championships and has a professional MMA record of 8 wins and 3 losses.Mitichyan's acting career began after a four-year stay in Moscow where he briefly explored theater. In Hollywood, his martial arts skills naturally led him to both acting and stunt work. He has since amassed a significant filmography, often portraying tough or villainous characters due to his imposing physique and skill set. His film credits include roles in "Felon," "Takers," "Argo," "John Wick," "Furious 7," "Extraction," "War Dogs," "The Promise," "Escape Plan 2: Hades," "Vice," and the recently released "Hurry Up Tomorrow" (2025) where he plays a driver.On television, Mitichyan has appeared in numerous popular series, often in guest roles that utilize his physicality.
