Ryu Kyung-soo is a prominent South Korean actor born on October 12, 1992. He is an alumnus of Chung-Ang University, where he studied Theater. Since his debut in 2010, Ryu Kyung-soo has gained recognition for his diverse roles across both film and television. His breakthrough came with his roles in the drama series "Confession" (2019) and especially as the ex-gangster Choi Seung-kwon in the highly popular "Itaewon Class" (2020). He further solidified his reputation with his impactful performance as Deacon Yu-ji in the Netflix original series "Hellbound" (2021) and has appeared in other Netflix productions like "Glitch" (2022) and "Jung_E" (2023). His film credits include "Hostage: Missing Celebrity" (2021), for which he received a Best New Actor nomination at the 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards, "Broker" (2022), and "A Resistance" (2019). Ryu Kyung-soo is known for his versatility, often portraying complex and intense characters, and has earned awards such as the Icon Award (2021) and Scene Stealer Award (2022) at the Asia Artist Awards.
