Sam Locke
Sam Locke is a rising Welsh actor who has quickly gained recognition, primarily for his feature film debut in the renewed 28 Days Later franchise. Born in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, he trained in performing arts at Merthyr College and later graduated from De Montfort University in 2023. He secured a prominent role in Danny Boyle's 2025 horror sequel, 28 Years Later, which proved to be a breakthrough for him. In the film, he plays Jimmy Fox, one of the core members of the ruthless, acrobatic survivor cult known as the "Jimmys." This physically demanding role required weeks of stunt training and high-intensity action scenes. Locke's performance has been highlighted by several outlets, positioning him as one of the UK's exciting new talents. He is confirmed to return as Jimmy Fox in the sequel, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026), directed by Nia DaCosta and written by Alex Garland. Prior to his film work, his television credits include the BBC drama The Way (2024), directed by Michael Sheen, and the sci-fi series Itopia (2023).
