Samson Kayo

Samson Kayo is a British actor, writer, and producer renowned for his contributions to British television comedy. Born on June 20, 1991, in Peckham, London, he is of Nigerian descent. Initially aspiring to be a footballer, Kayo's passion shifted towards comedy, influenced by figures like Jim Carrey, Robin Williams, and British comedian Jocelyn Jee Esien. He was also a childhood friend of actor John Boyega, with whom he attended church. Kayo's career gained momentum with his role as Boss Fury in the 2013 Channel 4 comedy Youngers. He further showcased his versatility in the BBC sketch show Famalam (2017–2020), earning a BAFTA nomination for Best Male Comedy Performance in 2018. He co-created, wrote, and starred in the sitcoms Sliced (2019–2020) and Bloods (2021–2022), with Bloods winning the Royal Television Society Award for Best Male Comedy Performance in 2022. In addition to his television work, Kayo has appeared in films such as The Bubble (2022) and lent his voice to Baby Bear in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022). He portrayed Oluwande in the pirate comedy series Our Flag Means Death (2022–2023). His upcoming projects include a role in the film F1 (2025) and the film adaptation of the animated series Voltron.
