Born on October 31, 1991, to a Jamaican father and a Trinidadian mother, she was raised in East New York, Brooklyn. She began rapping in high school with a group of friends before attending the Fashion Institute of Technology. She began her musical career on YouTube, releasing her first track "Cream Team" in 2012. Her debut mixtape, Satisfaction Guaranteed, was released in 2014, and she has since released several studio albums, including Pregnant with Success (2015), JP3 (2018), and JP4 (2020). Her music is known for its clever lyricism, themes of self-love, and a blend of genres like hip-hop, nu-metal, and funk.In addition to her music career, Shayna McHayle has also established herself as an actress. She made her acting debut in the 2018 comedy film Support the Girls, where she played the role of Danyelle. Her performance in the film was praised by critics and earned her further roles.
