Simon Delaney
Simon Delaney is an Irish actor, director, writer, and presenter, born on September 2, 1970, in Raheny, Dublin. He is well-known for his versatile work across film, television, and theatre for over two decades, including his popular role as Michael Quinn in the RTÉ comedy-drama series Bachelors Walk (2001–2006), for which he received two consecutive IFTA Best Actor nominations. His international screen credits include roles in the film The Conjuring 2 (2016) and the television series The Good Wife, Moone Boy, and The Fall. Beyond acting, he has hosted television programs such as Ireland AM and the Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTAs) for four years, and in 2017 he released his first book, a cookbook titled Simply Simon's – the Diner Cookbook. Most recently, Delaney appeared in the 2025 Sky miniseries Lockerbie: A Search for Truth and portrayed Oscar Hammerstein II in Richard Linklater's 2025 biographical film, Blue Moon.
