Song Jae-rim was a talented South Korean actor and former model, born on February 18, 1985, in Seoul. He began his career in the fashion industry, gracing major runways and magazines before transitioning to acting with his film debut in Actresses (2009). His career gained significant traction with his memorable role as the loyal bodyguard, Kim Jae-woon, in the 2012 historical drama The Moon Embracing the Sun. He further showcased his versatility with roles in series like Two Weeks (2013) as a cold-blooded assassin and later took on the male lead in the family drama Our Gab-soon (2016–2017). His public profile skyrocketed in 2014 when he appeared on the popular reality show We Got Married, where his charming and playful on-screen chemistry with actress Kim So-eun earned him the Best Couple Award at the MBC Entertainment Awards. His later works included key roles in dramas such as Clean with Passion for Now (2018), I Wanna Hear Your Song (2019), and Queen Woo (2024), along with films like Yaksha: Ruthless Operations (2022). Tragically, Song Jae-rim passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of 39. His final film, Crypto Man (titled Pokrak or Collapse in some reports), where he plays the ambitious lead character, Do-Hyun, was a posthumous release in January 2025. He also has other posthumous projects, including the films Get Rich and Salmon.
