Sophie Simnett is a British actress born on December 5, 1997, in Chiswick, West London. She began her acting career at the age of seven, participating in various film and drama courses. Simnett attended Putney High School, where she was a drama scholar. She gained prominence for her role as Skye Hart in the Disney Channel musical drama series The Lodge, which aired from 2016 to 2017. Simnett not only starred in the series but also contributed to its soundtracks and served as a story consultant . In 2019, Simnett starred as Samaira Dean in the Netflix post-apocalyptic series Daybreak, showcasing her versatility in a genre-bending role . She also portrayed Nancy/Red in the 2021 film Twist, an updated adaptation of Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist, alongside Michael Caine and Lena Headey.
