Susanna Thompson is a veteran American actress, born on January 27, 1958, in San Diego, California. She is known for her extensive career in both television and film, often taking on diverse and complex roles. Thompson is particularly recognized for her work in the science fiction genre, with notable roles in the Star Trek franchise. She portrayed Dr. Lenara Kahn in an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine where she participated in one of the first same-sex kisses on U.S. television, and she also played the Borg Queen in Star Trek: Voyager. Outside of science fiction, she is widely known for her roles as Karen Sammler on the drama series Once and Again and as Moira Queen on the hit superhero series Arrow. Her film credits include Little Giants, Ghosts of Mississippi, Random Hearts, and the horror film Malignant. She also had a recurring role as Army Lieutenant Colonel Hollis Mann on the popular crime procedural NCIS. Thompson received a bachelor's degree in drama from San Diego State University and is also trained in the Japanese martial art of Aikido.
