Taís Bianca Gama de Araújo (born November 25, 1978) is a highly acclaimed Brazilian actress, television host, and model. She is a groundbreaking figure in Brazilian television, notably becoming the first Black Brazilian actress to be a protagonist in a Brazilian telenovela with her role in "Xica da Silva" (1996) on Rede Manchete. She later achieved another milestone as the first Black protagonist of a soap opera on Brazil's top TV network, Globo, in "Da Cor do Pecado" (2004).Her extensive career includes a diverse range of roles in popular telenovelas such as "Cobras & Lagartos" (2006), "Cheias de Charme" (2012), "Geração Brasil" (2014), and "Amor de Mãe" (2019). She has also been a host on reality shows like "Popstar" and a judge on "The Masked Singer Brasil." On the big screen, Taís Araújo has appeared in numerous films, including "Pixinguinha - Um Homem Carinhoso" (2017) and is slated to appear in "Chuck Billy and The Marvelous Guava Tree" (2025) and the reboot of "Vale Tudo" (2025), where she will portray Raquel Gomes Accioli.Beyond her acting prowess, Taís Araújo is a prominent activist and advocate.
