"Chuck Billy and The Marvelous Guava Tree" (Chico Bento e a Goiabeira Maraviosa) is a Brazilian adventure-comedy film directed by Fernando Fraiha, who also co-wrote the screenplay. The movie, based on the beloved comic book series created by Mauricio de Sousa, marks the first live-action adaptation featuring the character Chuck Billy. Released in Brazilian theaters on January 9, 2025, the story centers around Chuck Billy, portrayed by Isaac Amendoim, who has spent his entire life happily picking guavas from Jed's (or Nhô Lau's) magnificent guava tree. However, their peaceful routine is threatened when Dr. Agripino (Augusto Madeira) announces plans to build a road that would necessitate the removal of the cherished tree. Chuck Billy, along with his friends including Zé Lelé (Pedro Dantas) and Rosinha (Anna Júlia Dias), band together to do everything in their power to save the tree, leading to a heartwarming and fun adventure. The cast also features Luis Lobianco, Débora Falabella, and Taís Araújo, among others. The film is a production of Biônica Filmes in co-production with Mauricio de Sousa Produções and Paris Entretenimento.
