Teyana Taylor is a multi-talented American singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, choreographer, model, and music video director. Born on December 10, 1990, in Harlem, New York City, she is of African American and Trinidadian descent. Her journey in the entertainment industry began early; at just 15 years old, she choreographed Beyoncé's 2006 hit "Ring the Alarm" and gained national attention from her appearance on MTV's "My Super Sweet 16" in 2007.Her musical career took off after signing with Pharrell Williams' Star Trak Entertainment and later Kanye West's GOOD Music label. Her debut studio album, VII (2014), received positive critical reception, followed by K.T.S.E. (2018) and The Album (2020), which peaked within the top ten of the charts. Known for her soulful voice and dynamic performances, she has collaborated with numerous artists and has recently returned to music with her new single "Long Time" from her upcoming album, Escape Room, set to release in August 2025 with an accompanying short film.As an actress, Taylor has a diverse filmography.
