Tom Novembre

Tom Novembre, born Jean Thomas Couture on November 8, 1959, in Nancy, France, is a multifaceted French artist known primarily as an actor and singer-songwriter. The younger brother of artist Charlélie Couture, he holds a degree from the École des Beaux-Arts de Nancy before embarking on his artistic career. He adopted his stage name, Tom Novembre, by combining the diminutive of his middle name and his birth month. He began his singing career in 1980 and gained early recognition as a "revelation" at the Printemps de Bourges festival in May 1982, releasing his first record, Version pour doublage, later that year. Concurrently, he established a prolific acting career, appearing in over seventy films since 1985. His notable film credits include Agent trouble (1987), The Sheltering Sky (1990) by Bernardo Bertolucci, the lead role of Orphée in Jean-Pierre Mocky’s Ville à vendre (1993), and the Hollywood satire Prêt-à-Porter (1994). On television, he is recognized for his role as Stanislas Privisevsky in the series Caméra Café.
