Vaughn Armstrong is an American actor born on July 7, 1950, in Sonora, California. He is particularly renowned for his extensive work within the Star Trek franchise, where he holds the unique distinction of playing the most characters across various series. He has portrayed twelve different characters from eight different alien races (and humans) across Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and most notably, a recurring role as Admiral Maxwell Forrest in Star Trek: Enterprise.Beyond his iconic Star Trek roles, Armstrong has a diverse film and television career. His credits include films like "The Philadelphia Experiment" (1984) and "The Net" (1995), and recent appearances in "The Surrender" (2025), where he plays the role of Robert. He has also guest-starred in numerous popular television shows such as "Seinfeld," "Quantum Leap," "Modern Family," "Criminal Minds," and "Desperate Housewives." In addition to acting, Armstrong is a musician and a founding member of "The Enterprise Blues Band" with fellow Star Trek actors.
