William Abadie

William Abadie (born February 16, 1977) is a distinguished French actor who has become a prominent fixture in American television and international cinema, often celebrated for his sophisticated and charismatic screen presence. Born in Saint-Raphaël in southern France, he honed his craft at L'École Claude Mathieu in Paris before relocating to New York, where he graduated from the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Abadie achieved a major career milestone in 2000 when he was honored with a life membership at the prestigious Actors Studio. He is perhaps best known to global audiences for his role as the seductive fragrance house owner Antoine Lambert in the Netflix hit series Emily in Paris, as well as his recurring roles in iconic shows such as Gossip Girl (as Roman Garrel), Sex and the City, Homeland, and And Just Like That.... In the 2026 film Greenland: Migration, Abadie takes on the supporting role of Denis Laurent, a key figure the Garrity family encounters during their journey through the European wasteland. His character serves as a vital bridge in the narrative, providing the family with essential knowledge or assistance as they navigate the breakdown of social order across the continent. Beyond this role, Abadie’s recent credits include appearances in the BBC series The Famous Five and the thriller series Hit Point. A man of many talents, he is also an accomplished athlete, frequently competing in marathons and Ironman triathlons when he is not filming between his homes in New York and Paris.
