He attended Teikyo University and is affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production. His career is also notable for his activity in theatrical entertainment, as he is the chairman of his own theatrical group, Gekidan Kishino Gumi. Over his extensive career, he has voiced numerous prominent characters across various anime, OVAs, and video games. Some of his most recognized roles in anime include Butta, the Cell Games Announcer, and King Vegeta in the Dragon Ball Z series, Jun Uozumi in Slam Dunk, Lafarga in Magic Knight Rayearth, Higuma the Bear in One Piece, and Hyoue Kuroda in the Detective Conan franchise. In video games, he is particularly known for voicing Cao Cao in the Dynasty Warriors and Warriors Orochi series, Brad Wong in the Dead or Alive series, and Cassius Bright in The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky series.
