Meet The Bad Guys | The Bad Guys 2022

The Bad Guys is a 2022 animated heist comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and directed by Pierre Perifel in his feature directorial debut. Based on the children's graphic novel series of the same name by Aaron Blabey, the film follows a notorious criminal crew of anthropomorphic animals led by the suave Mr. Wolf (voiced by Sam Rockwell). The gang, which also includes the cynical safecracker Mr. Snake (Marc Maron), the sarcastic hacker Ms. Tarantula (Awkwafina), the master-of-disguise Mr. Shark (Craig Robinson), and the short-fused Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos), is famous for pulling off a series of high-stakes robberies. After a botched attempt to steal a valuable award, the gang is finally caught. To avoid prison, Mr. Wolf convinces the city's governor, Diane Foxington (Zazie Beetz), to let them be reformed by the philanthropic guinea pig Professor Marmalade (Richard Ayoade). While the rest of the gang is just pretending to change for the sake of the con, Mr. Wolf finds himself genuinely drawn to the feeling of doing good after he helps an elderly woman. His newfound moral compass creates a rift within the group, particularly with Mr. Snake, who believes that society will never see them as anything but monsters. The plot takes a twist when it's revealed that Professor Marmalade is not the benevolent hero he appears to be, but is in fact the mastermind behind a sinister plot to steal a powerful meteorite and frame the Bad Guys. Mr. Wolf and the gang, with the help of the surprisingly agile Governor Foxington (who is revealed to be a former master thief herself), must use their criminal skills for the good of the city.
