A Working Man 2025

The 2025 film A Working Man is an action thriller directed by David Ayer and co-written by Ayer and Sylvester Stallone. It is an adaptation of the 2014 novel Levon's Trade by Chuck Dixon. The movie centers on Levon Cade (played by Jason Statham), a former Royal Marine Commando who has left his dangerous past behind to live a quiet life as a construction foreman in Chicago. He is also in a custody battle for his daughter, Merry, against his overbearing father-in-law. Levon has a close bond with his boss, Joe Garcia, Joe's wife, Carla, and their teenage daughter, Jenny (Arianna Rivas). Levon's peaceful existence is shattered when Jenny is kidnapped by Russian human traffickers led by a man named Viper and his associate Artemis. The local police are unable to find any leads, forcing Levon to turn to his former "profession" to rescue Jenny. Levon consults his old friend, Gunny Lefferty (David Harbour), a blind ex-Marine Raider, who encourages him to do what's right. Using his deadly skills and contacts, Levon infiltrates the criminal organization, posing as a drug dealer to get close to Dimi, the son of a high-ranking Russian mobster. Levon's relentless pursuit leads to brutal confrontations, including a van crash and the execution of Dimi after getting the location of Jenny. He ultimately attacks the compound where Jenny is being held, kills the criminals, and rescues the girl. The film stars Jason Statham as the lead, Levon Cade, with a supporting cast that includes Michael Peña as Joe Garcia (Levon's boss), David Harbour as Gunny Lefferty, Jason Flemyng as Wolo Kolisnyk, and Arianna Rivas as the kidnapped Jenny Garcia. David Ayer directed the film, and he co-wrote the screenplay with Sylvester Stallone. It was released in the United States by Amazon MGM Studios on March 28, 2025. The film has a running time of 116 minutes and is rated R for strong violence, language, and drug content.
