Jared Leto is a multifaceted American entertainer, widely recognized for his work as both a "method actor" and the frontman of the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars. Born on December 26, 1971, in Bossier City, Louisiana, Leto was raised in an artistic environment that nurtured his creative spirit. He began his career with early television roles, gaining recognition as the moody heartthrob Jordan Catalano in the cult-favorite teen drama My So-Called Life. He quickly transitioned to film, earning a reputation for his intense dedication to his roles, often undergoing significant physical and psychological transformations. Notable performances include a heroin addict in Requiem for a Dream, an ax-murder victim in American Psycho, and the killer of John Lennon in Chapter 27, for which he gained 60 pounds.
