Mason Thames is an American actor who has quickly risen to prominence in Hollywood.Born on July 10, 2007, in Dallas, Texas, Thames initially trained in ballet and toured with a professional international ballet company for four years as their youngest cast member. He began his acting career at a young age, with early appearances including the Apple TV+ series For All Mankind (2019) and the CW series Walker.His breakthrough came with the lead role in the 2021 supernatural horror film The Black Phone, where he played Finney Blake, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy who is abducted by a serial killer (played by Ethan Hawke) and finds a way to communicate with the killer's previous victims through a disconnected phone. His performance in the film earned him significant critical attention.Following this success, Thames secured the lead role as Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III in the 2025 live-action adaptation of the animated film How to Train Your Dragon.
