Sarah Niles is a British actress celebrated for her compelling performances across television, film, and theatre. Born on June 17, 1987, in Thornton Heath, south London, she is the youngest of three children to Barbadian parents who immigrated to the UK in the late 1950s. Niles honed her craft at the Manchester School of Theatre, part of Manchester Metropolitan University. She began her acting career in 1999 with a guest appearance on A Touch of Frost and has since built a diverse portfolio. Notable television roles include Catastrophe (2015–2019), I May Destroy You (2020), Trying (2020), Viewpoint (2021), Riches (2022), and The Sandman (2022). In 2021, Niles joined the cast of Ted Lasso as Dr. Sharon Fieldstone, AFC Richmond's sports psychologist. Her portrayal earned her two Emmy nominations: Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2022 and Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series in 2023. Beyond television, Niles has appeared in films such as Happy-Go-Lucky, Rocks, London Boulevard, and Austenland. She has also been a regular performer at esteemed venues including the National Theatre, the Royal Court, the Old Vic, and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
