HIM 2025

Released on September 19, 2025, HIM (produced by Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions) is a psychological sports-horror film that explores the dark, ritualistic costs of achieving "Greatest of All Time" (G.O.A.T.) status. The story follows Cameron "Cam" Cade (Tyriq Withers), a promising young quarterback whose career is derailed by a traumatic brain injury following an attack by a masked assailant. Desperate to salvage his future, Cam accepts an invitation to train at the isolated desert compound of his idol, the legendary and aging quarterback Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans). As the training intensifies, the mentorship devolves into a nightmare of psychological manipulation and physical torture; Cam is secretly injected with Isaiah's blood and experiences disturbing hallucinations of masked, animalistic figures. The "detailed" plot twist reveals that the G.O.A.T. title is literally a supernatural lineage maintained through ritual blood transfusions orchestrated by a cult-like inner circle of team owners and family members. In a violent climax, Cam discovers his own father had pre-arranged his entry into this "divine" line. Refusing to sign the ritualistic contract, Cam enters a state of "G.O.A.T. rage," brutally killing Isaiah in a gladiatorial fight and subsequently slaughtering the team's owners and Isaiah's wife, Elsie (Julia Fox). The film's cast is led by Marlon Wayans as the sinister Isaiah White and Tyriq Withers as Cam, supported by Julia Fox as Elsie, Tim Heidecker as Cam’s agent Tom, and Jim Jefferies as the team’s personal doctor. Despite the high-profile production from Jordan Peele, HIM underperformed at the box office, grossing approximately $25 million domestically and $3 million internationally for a worldwide total of $28 million against a $27 million production budget.
