Kinda Pregnant follows Lainy Newton, a jealous and somewhat adrift woman in her 30s who feels left behind when her best friend, Kate, becomes pregnant. In a moment of desperation and envy, Lainy decides to wear a fake prosthetic baby bump to mimic the pregnancy experience.
