My Fault: London 2025
My Fault: London is a 2025 British romantic drama film that serves as a remake of the 2023 Spanish movie Culpa Mía, which is based on the first novel in Mercedes Ron's bestselling Culpables trilogy. The plot centers on Noah (Asha Banks), an 18-year-old American girl who is reluctantly forced to move from Florida to a lavish London mansion with her mother, Ella (Eve Macklin), following Ella's marriage to a wealthy English businessman named William (Ray Fearon). Immediately upon her arrival, Noah meets her new stepbrother, the wealthy, 'bad-boy' Nick (Matthew Broome), and they instantly despise each other. However, this initial hatred quickly gives way to an undeniable, intense, and forbidden attraction, leading them into a secret, tumultuous romance. Their relationship unfolds against a backdrop of glamorous London life, complete with affluence, high-stakes drift racing, and Nick's involvement in a world of street fighting and vengeful criminals. As Noah attempts to navigate her new life and her complicated love for Nick, a dark part of her past resurfaces: her estranged father, Travis (Jason Flemyng), has been released from prison and is actively tracking her down, bringing with him the trauma of her childhood and throwing both Nick and Noah's lives into chaos. The film culminates in a dramatic confrontation and a chaotic car chase as Nick risks his life to save Noah from her father, leading to a near-fatal accident for Nick before he eventually recovers, solidifying the couple's bond despite the extreme danger and the disapproval of their parents, ending the movie with them confirming their commitment to their forbidden love. The main cast of the film features Asha Banks as the protagonist Noah, and Matthew Broome as her stepbrother and love interest, Nick. Supporting cast members include Eve Macklin as Noah's mother Ella, Ray Fearon as Nick's father William, and Jason Flemyng as Noah's estranged father Travis. I absolutely loved Culpa Mia, but I didn't have high hopes for this movie. However, I was proven wrong when I watched it. It exceeded my expectations. I love how they added different elements and scenes from the book whilst using scenes from the original movie and adding a bit of a twist to them. The two actors were great! The passion, and chemistry was there for sure, I'm really impressed. I will say though, the main difference was the level of spice in this movie, but the rest of it made up for that so it's not as important but the spice level in the original movie was a lot more, and a lot better but either way, this movie was great and I'd definitely recommend! It didn't feel too dragged out, the 2 hours were used wisely and I was interested throughout.
