Dark Nuns 2025
'Dark Nuns' (2025), also known as 'The Priest 2: Dark Nuns' or 'Black Nuns', is a South Korean supernatural thriller directed by Kwon Hyeok-jae and serves as a spin-off to the 2015 film 'The Priests'. The movie centers around a young boy named Hee-joon, portrayed by Moon Woo-jin, who becomes possessed by a powerful evil spirit. Two nuns, Sister Junia (Song Hye-kyo), a determined and perhaps unconventional nun with a history tied to the events of 'The Priests', and Sister Michaela (Jeon Yeo-been), a initially skeptical nun and Father Paolo's (Lee Jin-wook) mentee, join forces against the wishes of the Catholic Church to perform a forbidden exorcism in a desperate attempt to save the boy. Father Paolo, a priest and psychiatrist, believes Hee-joon's condition can be cured medically, leading to conflict with the nuns' approach. Adding another layer is Father Andreas (Huh Joon-ho), who initially performs a traditional exorcism. The film follows the intense battle against the demonic forces, testing the nuns' faith and putting their lives and souls in grave danger as they resort to sacrilegious rituals to save Hee-joon.
