The 2025 supernatural horror film Don't Follow Me (originally titled No me sigas) is the first Spanish-language original production from Blumhouse Productions, directed and written by siblings Ximena and Eduardo García Lecuona. The plot follows Carla (Karla Coronado), a desperate aspiring influencer who moves into a notorious abandoned apartment in Mexico City with the intention of faking paranormal activity to grow her social media following; however, her staged hauntings take a dark turn when she inadvertently summons a real malevolent entity that possesses her during a live stream, leaving her viewers unable to distinguish between her performance and the actual horror unfolding. The film stars Julia Maqueo as Sam France and Yankel Stevan as Andrés, serving as a cautionary tale about the toxic quest for digital fame.
