Champagne Problems 2025
The 2025 film Champagne Problems is an American romantic comedy, a festive addition to Netflix's holiday line-up. Written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson, the movie stars Minka Kelly as Sydney Price, an ambitious American executive who travels to France just before Christmas with a single-minded goal: to secure the acquisition of Château Cassell, a prestigious, world-renowned French champagne house, for her firm. Her meticulously planned business trip to the romantic City of Light hits a snag when she has a chance encounter and a whirlwind romance with a charming Parisian named Henri Cassell, played by Tom Wozniczka. The central conflict arises when Sydney discovers that her handsome new beau is none other than the founder's son and heir to the very champagne legacy she is attempting to buy. The film then becomes a charming, competitive race as Sydney, Henri's debt-ridden father Hugo (Thibault de Montalembert), and other colorful rival bidders (including characters played by Flula Borg and Sean Amsing) must navigate business intrigue, family tensions, and unexpected love, forcing Sydney to choose between her professional ambition and the possibility of a holiday romance. The movie was released on Netflix on November 19, 2025.

Yes, its predictable, yes its cheesy but its also sweet, cozy and sincere. Definitely one of the better of these types of movies. I score movies against similar movies of their kind. You can't compare this to a cinematic masterpiece. Its another Christmas themed, turn your brian off and get cozy tv/streaming movie. Netflix haven't had a decent one for a few years, but finally this was worth a watch. Paris looks stunning, and unlike many movies like this it appears at least some of it was filmed in France. The cast are all decent, good chemistry between the leads. The lead actress reminds me of JLo. If you like these cheesy xmas movies, I think this one's definitely worth a watch.
