Playdate 2025

The 2025 action-comedy film Playdate follows Brian, a recently unemployed accountant played by Kevin James, who is trying to adjust to being a stay-at-home dad and sets up a playdate for his son with fellow charismatic suburban dad Jeff, played by Alan Ritchson. What begins as an awkward afternoon of clashing personalities and suburban small talk quickly descends into full-blown chaos when Brian realizes that Jeff is a former operative on the run and they become the targets of ruthless mercenaries, forcing the two dads and their sons into a high-stakes adventure involving car chases and playground skirmishes, ultimately contrasting Brian's zero tactical skills with Jeff's specialized training.
