The 2025 Netflix animated film, In Your Dreams, is a comedy-adventure feature that follows the journey of siblings Stevie and Elliot as they navigate the struggles of their family life by venturing into the absurd, fantastical world of their own dreams. Twelve-year-old Stevie (voiced by Jolie Hoang-Rappaport) and her younger brother Elliot (Elias Janssen) are worried about their parents' faltering marriage, and they embark on a quest to find the Sandman, believing he holds the power to grant them their ultimate dream: the perfect, unified family. Their mission takes them through a vibrant and sometimes spooky dreamscape, where they must contend with challenges including a snarky, brought-to-life stuffed giraffe named Baloney Tony (Craig Robinson), zombie breakfast foods, and the Queen of Nightmares (Gia Carides). The film, which has been praised for blending ambitious visuals with a heartfelt, relatable story, is directed by former Pixar story artist Alex Woo, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Erik Benson (who serves as co-director) and Stanley Moore, with the story drawing on elements from Woo's own childhood.
