Keeper 2025

Keeper (2025) is an American folk horror film directed by Osgood Perkins and written by Nick Lepard, centering on a seemingly romantic anniversary trip for a couple, Liz and Malcolm, to his secluded family cabin in the woods that turns sinister. The plot follows Liz (Tatiana Maslany), a painter, and her doctor boyfriend Malcolm (Rossif Sutherland) as they arrive at the remote cabin. Their celebration is quickly disrupted by the unexpected arrival of Malcolm's obnoxious cousin, Darren (Birkett Turton), and his date, Minka (Eden Weiss). The film reveals that Malcolm and Darren are centuries-old men who have been luring women to the property to feed creatures born from a pregnant woman they had fatally imprisoned 200 years ago, who granted them an extended lifespan in return. The final act sees Liz locked in the basement by Malcolm, where the creatures embrace her due to her resemblance to their mother, whose preserved head is kept in a jar of honey. Liz's eyes turn black like the creatures', and she ultimately gains control, finding an elderly Malcolm suspended upside down from a tree.
