The Enchanted Tinderbox (original title: Ognivo) is a 2024 Russian fantasy adventure film directed by Aleksandr Voytinsky. Loosely based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale "The Tinderbox," the film tells the story of a cheerful and cunning young man named Ivan (Roman Evdokimov) who stumbles upon a magical tinderbox. The tinderbox holds a great secret: it has imprisoned a young princess named Dasha (Antonina Boyko), who was bewitched by the malevolent sorcerer, Likhodey (Vitaly Khaev). The film follows Ivan's journey as he works to free Dasha and fight for truth, hope, and love. His quest transforms him from a selfish roisterer into a true hero.
