The 2024 film The Cut is a psychological thriller set in the world of boxing, directed by Sean Ellis and starring Orlando Bloom as the protagonist, known simply as "The Boxer." The film shifts away from a typical underdog sports drama by primarily focusing on the Boxer's intense and increasingly hallucinatory physical and psychological ordeal of extreme weight cutting, which pushes him to the brink and resurfaces traumatic childhood memories.
