Oh. What. Fun. 2025
Released on December 3, 2025, Oh. What. Fun. is a festive comedy that explores the often-invisible labor of motherhood during the holidays. Directed by Michael Showalter, the film follows Claire Clauster, a dedicated Houston mother who has spent decades meticulously orchestrating the "perfect" Christmas for her family. After she is accidentally left behind during a chaotic family outing to a Christmas concert, Claire decides to stop being the "glue" and embarks on a solo, impulsive road trip to Burbank. Her goal is to crash the show of her favorite daytime talk show host, Zazzy Tims, and finally seek the recognition she deserves. Meanwhile, her oblivious husband and grown children are forced to confront the total collapse of their holiday traditions without her, eventually realizing just how much they take her for granted before a heartwarming, if predictable, reunion. The film features a high-profile ensemble cast led by Michelle Pfeiffer as the frazzled but determined matriarch, Claire Clauster. Denis Leary plays her well-meaning but unhelpful husband, Nick. Her three adult children are portrayed by Felicity Jones (the responsible Channing), Chloë Grace Moretz (the chaotic Taylor), and Dominic Sessa (the drifting youngest son, Sammy). The supporting cast includes Jason Schwartzman as Claire's earnest son-in-law Doug, Eva Longoria as the vibrant talk show host Zazzy Tims, Joan Chen as Claire’s competitive neighbor Jeanne, and Danielle Brooks in a spirited cameo as a delivery driver Claire meets on her journey. As a direct-to-streaming original produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Oh. What. Fun. did not receive a traditional wide theatrical release. However, it was a massive digital success, instantly becoming the No. 1 movie worldwide on Prime Video within two days of its release. It topped the streaming charts in the United States and several other major markets, including Canada, Australia, and Mexico. Despite its commercial popularity during the 2025 holiday season, critical reception was mixed, with reviewers praising Pfeiffer’s performance but finding the script somewhat "underbaked" compared to other holiday classics.

My family and I loved this movie so much. Funny heartwarming movie for the holidays with a great message in support of women/moms. The cast is phenomenal and have a lot of chemistry. In particular, Michelle Pfeiffer and Dominic Sessa killed it in every scene they are in. Will be impatiently waiting for the Dominic Sessa and Havana Rose Liu led sequel.
