Nuremberg 2025

Directed by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac screenwriter), Nuremberg is a psychological thriller and historical drama based on the 2013 book The Nazi and the Psychiatrist by Jack El-Hai. The film centers on the true story of the cat-and-mouse game played between an American U.S. Army psychiatrist and the highest-ranking Nazi official on trial. Rami Malek stars as Dr. Douglas Kelley, who is assigned to evaluate the mental fitness of the imprisoned Nazi leaders ahead of the historic Nuremberg Trials. His primary subject is Reichsmarshall Hermann Göring, played with malevolent charisma by Russell Crowe. The film explores the morally murky, intense conversations between the two men as Kelley tries to "dissect evil" to understand the atrocities, while Göring attempts to manipulate his way out of a death sentence.
