De De Pyaar De 2 (2025)
Directed by Anshul Sharma, this romantic comedy sequel flips the script on the 2019 original by shifting the conflict from the hero's family to the heroine's. The story follows 52-year-old Ashish Mehra as he travels to Chandigarh to meet the family of his 28-year-old girlfriend, Ayesha. The comedy ensues when he discovers that Ayesha's "progressive" father, Rakesh, is actually younger than Ashish himself. This triggers a hilarious ego clash between the two men, with Rakesh determined to sabotage the relationship by introducing a young, eligible suitor named Adi to woo his daughter. Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh reprise their roles as the lead couple, Ashish and Ayesha. R. Madhavan joins the franchise as the overprotective father Rakesh, stealing scenes with his comic timing. The cast also features Gautami Kapoor as Ayesha's mother, Meezaan Jafri as the rival suitor Adi, and Jaaved Jaaferi as Ashish's friend. The film has received a generally positive-to-mixed reception since its release on November 14, 2025. Critics have praised the "fresh" dynamic between Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan, noting that their petty one-upmanship is the highlight of the movie. While the script is described as a "breezy" and entertaining family watch that tackles ageism with humor, some reviewers felt the plot became predictable in the second half and relied too heavily on the same tropes as the first film. It is widely considered a worthy, if safe, successor that offers plenty of laughs but lacks deep emotional stakes. De De Pyaar De 2 has performed decently at the box office. It opened with approximately ₹8.75 crore and has shown steady growth due to positive word-of-mouth, crossing the ₹60 crore mark domestically within its first 10 days. As of late November 2025, its worldwide gross stands at approximately ₹93 crore. Following its theatrical run, the film is confirmed to stream on Netflix. Based on the standard 8-week window for Hindi films, it is expected to premiere on the platform in January 2026.

Much similar to part one but just the house mates are different this time. Interesting situation but not up the level. Usual and predictable screenplay leading to less excitement. Production value is good. Cinematography had ups and down along with the music. The best part of the film was Madhavan's classy performance, enjoyed each and every bit of his performance both Humor and emotional aspects. But the audience especially Hindi speaking enjoyed it watching in the big screens.
