The film features Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, alongside an ensemble cast including Sreeleela (making her Tamil debut), Jayam Ravi, Atharvaa, and Rana Daggubati. Set against the backdrop of the 1965 Anti-Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu, the narrative is based on true events and is rumored to chronicle the life of Rajendran, a student from Annamalai University who became a martyr during the protests.
