Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari 2025
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is a 2025 romantic comedy directed by Shashank Khaitan (known for the Dulhania franchise) and produced by Dharma Productions. The plot is a chaotic "situationship" comedy set against the backdrop of a lavish Indian wedding. It follows Sunny Sanskari (Varun Dhawan), a traditional yet mischievous young man, and Tulsi Kumari (Janhvi Kapoor), a spirited girl, who are both rejected by their respective partners. Heartbroken and vengeful, they team up to crash the weddings of their exes—Sunny's former love, Ananya (Sanya Malhotra), and Tulsi's ex, Vikram (Rohit Saraf). As they hatch convoluted schemes to break up these couples, their shared mission leads to unexpected chemistry, forcing them to realize that their perfect match might actually be their partner-in-crime. The film features a vibrant ensemble cast led by Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, marking their second collaboration after Bawaal. They are supported by Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi. The film was released in theaters on October 2, 2025, coinciding with the Dussehra holiday weekend. Critically, the film received mixed reviews, generally rated around 3/5 stars. While critics praised the "electrifying chemistry" between the leads and the colorful, high-energy production values typical of Dharma films, many found the screenplay "formulaic" and predictable. It was often described as a "decent one-time watch" that relies heavily on the charm of its cast rather than a fresh narrative. At the box office, the film was a commercial underperformer, largely due to a massive clash with the blockbuster Kantara: Chapter 1. It collected approximately ₹70 crore net in India and finished with a worldwide gross of around ₹108 crore, earning it a "Below Average" or "Flop" verdict relative to expectations and budget.Regarding streaming, the film has completed its theatrical run and premiered on Netflix on November 27, 2025. It is currently available to stream globally on the platform.

This movie was a big disappointment for fans of both good acting and Rohit Saraf. Somehow the directors and producers managed to get 2 most talented actors in the Hindi film industry i.e Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra and ruin the movie by giving them very little screen time even fewer dialogues. On the contrary Varun and Jahnvi's chemistry was way off and sometimes felt like cringe. Idk why I took the trouble to watch this movie in the theatre.
